Levi's Holiday Pictures at the Park – 11-20-11

WARNING: The boy pictured below is ADORABLE. You have been warned.

A friend from grade school and high school, Leigh, contacted me a while back about taking holiday photos of her adorable little boy, Levi. Levi...how cute is that name!?!? I love it! I originally suggested Valley Forge park but Leigh wanted to take Levi somewhere that he could have a little fun. She mentioned a giant playground in Lower Merion off of Montgomery avenue that Levi loves and I was all for it. I had a ton of fun chasing Levi around there for an hour or two.

Thanks for reaching out Leigh. Was great to see you and your husband again, and spend the day with your precious little guy. Happy Holidays to you and your family!

The Amazing Meyer Family -Wyomissing Park 10-22-11

I have to start this one off by telling you that I know some pretty amazing, talented and beautiful people... the Meyer family represents that statement to the fullest!

I met Chris and Deanna a couple years back and instantly took a liking to them. Even more so after getting to know them a bit. One might say that we were destined to get along... Chris plays the guitar (like myself) and is a fantastic songwriter. Deanna and I both share art as a passion. She is an AMAZING Illustrator and owns her own Illustration Studio, Verso Graphics. After a roadtrip across the US (their honeymoon, how cool is that?!?!), Deanna came back inspired to write and illustrate a children's book from experiences of their journey. She worked hard on this project and it shows. Her book, Buffalo on the Ridge is now published and if you have kids I suggest you pick up a copy. Remarkable artwork and a great story to match.

Nine months back Chris and Deanna welcomed a precious angel into the world. I have seen many pictures of "Smalls" over the last nine months via email but finally got the chance to meet her and photograph her this past weekend. What a DOLL!

We shot at a park Chris and Deanna scouted and suggested near their home, Wyomissing Park in Shillington, PA. The park had a lot to offer - all within a short distance from where we parked at our disposal was a creek, an old Mill, and a beautiful tree lined trail. Perfect location, well done Chris and Deanna!

When photographing a newborn, infant, or child you only get so much time until they throw in the towel. "Smalls" was a great sport giving us a solid hour and a half! After the shoot Chris and Deanna invited me back to their home for supper and to catch up a bit. An extremely nice gesture. Thank you again. The food was delicious and the company... even better.

Chris and Deanna it was great to catch up with you and finally meet "Smalls". Thanks for a fun day with you and your precious family!

"Smalls" was introduced to pumpkins for the first time on this day. Inquisitive at first... she loved them!

An AMAZING family! Proof is in the pictures.

Below is a picture I took last year of Deanna with her precious creations... "Smalls" (in her belly awww) and her book. Visit Verso Graphics to see more of her work. You can also swing by her Etsy storefront to pick up a copy of her book along with other incredible artwork. In this technological age, kids still want and need books. Appreciate and support local art.

Portraits of Nancy-Taylor, McKaig's Nature Trail 10-17-11

A couple weeks back I had the pleasure of photographing a very dear friend of mine, Nancy-Taylor. Nancy and I have known each other since grade school!!! We have shared a passion for the arts (lots of art classes together) and she's been a big supporter of my venture into photography. She's hired me in the past to photograph her adorable boys and her loving family, but this was her time to shine. And that she did!

We shot at a place new to me by Roberts Elementary school, McKaig's Nature Trail. The rain threatened us a little bit, but we stuck it out. Nancy commissioned a friend Beth to help out with hair and makeup. Not only did she do a great job with that, she was a BIG help assisting on the shoot!

Nancy's the best gal-pal a guy could ever have. She's always there when I reach out and when we see each other, we pick up right where we left off. Nancy, thanks for being my bud!

Orsi & Rich - Penn's Garden Wedding 10-8-11

This past weekend we were blessed with perfect weather, sunny and almost 80 degrees! I was doubly blessed - I got to attend and photograph the wedding of two extremely special people, Orsi and Rich. There are so many things I could say about this couple, as individuals or together as a team. You can just tell from the way that they look at each other and the passions they share, that they are absolutely made for each other. Personally, I can't help but smile in their presence!

The afternoon started off at the Courtyard/Marriot in North Wales for some preparation shots, then onto the gorgeous Penn's Garden for their outdoor evening ceremony. Their reception followed just steps from the garden, inside the William Penn Inn.

There is something about shooting a wedding and recollecting the day's events that is very heart-warming and emotional. Everything about Orsi and Rich's wedding touched me. The day of and also now as I sit here writing this. I'm sure every guest would agree. Orsi and Rich, thank you for allowing me to be a part of your special day. I wish you a wealth of happiness together as husband and wife.

Last but certainly not least, I would like to thank the talented Jennifer Baumann  for assisting me with photographing Orsi and Rich's special day. She did a fantastic job and I am grateful to have had her shooting along side of me. Thanks Jen!
